Stine Ballegaard Nilsson

Stine is a Danish cosplayer with 15 years of experience in the cosplay community. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design and Handicraft. For the past 7 years she has taught cosplay professionally at Rødovre Center of Youth, where she has had the pleasure of guiding and inspiring many young cosplayers as they developed their skills and brought their costume ideas to life.
 

Throughout her years as a cosplayer, Stine has received several awards for both craftsmanship and stage performance, competing both individually and as part of groups. She has also had the opportunity to collaborate with companies and brands through her cosplay work, including DC Comics/Warner Bros. and Nintendo.
 

One of her favourite parts of cosplay is the moment when months of hard work finally come together: seeing the finished costume as a whole for the very first time.

As a judge, Stine particularly values the creativity, craftsmanship, dedication and personal expression that go into cosplay. Having experience both as a competitor and as a teacher, she knows how much time, learning and hard work can go into bringing a costume together, and she hopes to create a welcoming and encouraging experience for all participants.
 

Stine looks forward to visiting Copernicon, exploring the beautiful city of Toruń, and, most of all, meeting the dedicated cosplayers taking part in the competition. She is excited to see their creativity, hard work, and passion for cosplay.
